Rental systems
Two continuous wave fiber laser systems, both water cooled, both running a 100% duty cycle, both controlled from a touch screen with adjustable power, scan speed, frequency, line width and pattern.
2,000 W system
Standard system for most work, including small components and complex geometry. 220 V single phase, cleaning width adjustable up to 6 in.
3,000 W system
Larger, more extensive scopes of work. 480 V, cleaning width adjustable up to 12 in.
Site power differs between them, which is often the deciding factor.

How renting works
Six steps from the first quote to the return of the equipment. Power and the controlled area are the two items that most commonly cost a day, so both are settled before anything ships.
- 01
Quote
Tell us what you are removing, the substrate, the area, your site power, where the work is and when you need the equipment. Site power is usually the deciding factor between the two systems.Request a quote - 02
Site review
A power and safety review before delivery: electrical supply at the work location, gas or compressed air, who will operate, laser controls and extraction.Job readiness checklist (PDF) - 03
Delivery and setup
Systems ship to sites across the United States. Delivery and pickup are charged by mileage, with a $250 minimum charge.Delivery details - 04
Training and the calibration patch
Hands-on operator training at your site before release, then a calibration test patch on your surface with the optimal settings recorded.Operator training - 05
Support during the term
Your crew runs the system on your schedule. Technical assistance by phone and email is part of the rental for its whole length.Support during a rental - 06
Return
At the end of the term the equipment goes back to Extrinite's workshop, where it is inspected and tested. Any refund due is issued with the final invoice, and an early return is credited where credit is due.Contact Extrinite
Operator training and support
Training is delivered hands-on at your site before the equipment is released for use: system operation, setting parameters for your application, and the Class 4 laser safety requirements that apply.
Extrinite's field procedure calls for a calibration test patch at the start of a job, with optimal settings recorded before production work begins.
Setup and training depend on the project. They take from one day hands-on to five days on higher-risk or more involved work.
Site preparation
Confirm these four items before delivery.
- 01
Electrical supply
220 V single phase at 30 A for the 2,000 W; 480 V at 50 A for the 3,000 W. Confirm available supply and the distance from the panel. Where site power is not available, Extrinite's field setups use a 150 kVA generator.
- 02
Gas and cooling
Nitrogen, argon or compressed air according to the system's requirements. Compressed air must be dry and oil free, at 40 psi and 5 cfm. Nitrogen generators and compressed air chillers can be supplied where appropriate.
- 03
Operators
Who will run the system, what experience they have, and how many need training before the rental starts.
- 04
Site controls
Who approves the work area, what laser controls your site requires, and what extraction is needed for the material being removed. Service leads reach a maximum of 60 ft from the laser source on the 2,000 W and 100 ft on the 3,000 W.
Frequently asked questions
For other questions, call 346.217.6583 or email info@extrinite.com.
What rental terms are available?
Daily, weekly and 28-day monthly terms. Longer arrangements are quoted per project. Costs, maintenance responsibilities and support commitments are governed by the rental agreement.
Is operator training included?
No. Hands-on operator training is available with every rental and charged separately. It is delivered before the equipment is released for use and typically takes one day for one to four operators.
Can I rent more than one machine?
Yes, subject to availability. Tell us the scope and schedule and we will confirm what can be deployed.
Does the rental include an operator?
No. Your own personnel run the system, trained by Extrinite before it is released for use. A rental covers the equipment, delivery and setup arrangements, the site review and technical assistance. Operator training is available with every rental and charged separately.
Do you ship outside Texas?
Yes. Equipment rentals ship nationwide.
What does a rental cost?
It depends on the system, the term, the number of machines, delivery distance, training needs and whether supporting equipment such as a generator is needed. Tell us the scope and we will quote it.
Check rental availability
Tell us the surface, the area, your site power and when you need the equipment. We will confirm which system fits and what is available.
