Project Overview
Extrinite, subcontracting for Repcon, provided laser ablation on critical Stabilizer Tower and Visbreaker equipment to efficiently remove oxidation, hydrocarbons, and chlorides with minimal heat, allowing for inspection, coating, and welding.
Safety Commitment
Safety is prioritized at each stage of operations, with JHA approval required before mobilization. Daily toolbox talks are conducted, and site safety audits are conducted. Mandatory protocols include continuous 4-gas monitoring, use of full PPE such as respirators and FR coveralls, and securing all work zones to prevent unauthorized entry.

Conclusion
Laser ablation has demonstrated itself as a safe, precise, and environmentally superior technique for process equipment maintenance. The project was completed within budget and ahead of the scheduled timeline.
